When asked about my role, I used to explain that I use technology to create delightful experiences for digital media. Regular folks had trouble understanding how this could possibly affect their lifestyle. The tipping point came with the rise of mobile over the last five years — it’s been thrilling to see mobile apps finding their way into the lives of pretty much everyone, providing the same people with a better understanding of how carefully designed experiences can make a difference. Looking forward, I can’t think of a more exciting job than to continue staying on top of technology and actively taking part in shaping the way digital media is woven into our daily lives.

I joined Razorfish’s Frankfurt office in 2004, and spent the following years designing and building experiences for clients such as Audi, Volkswagen and Oakley — from mobile apps to full-fledged multiscreen experiences for international motor shows. Seeking new challenges in 2010, I made my way down to the southern hemisphere to join Amnesia Razorfish in Sydney, driven by their mission to invent the digital future. In regular intervals, you’ll find me writing for our emerging experiences blog, which chronicles some of Razorfish’s most innovative work.

I currently live in the center of Sydney, but enjoy exploring remote places in Oceania with my camera. After two exciting years in Australia, I’ll finally return home in late 2012 to join Razorfish in Berlin. It never ceases to amaze me that I can travel around the globe and find the same Razorfish spirit anywhere I go, which makes me feel instantly at home.
